In response to the rising wave of digital crimes, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has called for a more aggressive and coordinated approach by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) to tackle cybercrime across Pakistan. The directive was issued during his visit to the agency’s office in Islamabad, where he reviewed its current capacity and operational readiness.

Officials said the minister underlined the urgency of strengthening cybercrime enforcement as online fraud, identity theft, and hacking incidents continue to increase. He stressed that law enforcement agencies must adapt to evolving digital threats and ensure timely action against those involved in cyber offences.

During the visit, Mohsin Naqvi examined the infrastructure of the NCCIA and instructed authorities to improve facilities in line with modern requirements.
